How do I sign in, and what if I forget my password?

Sign in with your email and password, a passkey, or Google or Apple, and reset your password from the sign-in form if you forget it.

These steps are for the web app at bluedeer.ai.

  1. Enter your email address and password.
  2. Click Sign in.

You can also click Continue with Google or Continue with Apple, or Sign in with a passkey if you have added a passkey to your account.

If the Google or Apple email already belongs to a Bluedeer account, Bluedeer asks whether to connect that sign-in to the account before it signs you in. See How do I connect Apple or Google to my account?

If you have turned on two-factor authentication, Bluedeer then opens a page that asks for a 6-digit code. The code comes from your authenticator app, or it is sent to your email address. The page says which. Reloading the page keeps you on it for the 5 minutes the step is open; after that, sign in again. A passkey sign-in skips this step.

Reset a forgotten password

  1. On the sign-in form, click Forgot password?. The email address you typed is carried over.
  2. Click Send code. If an account uses that address, Bluedeer sends it a code. The code can take a few minutes to arrive, and it may be in your spam folder.
  3. Enter the code in Code from the email, then enter a New password. It needs at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a symbol, such as ! or #. A symbol is any character that is not a letter, a number or a space. Under the password box, each rule gets a tick as soon as your password meets it. Bluedeer also turns down passwords that appear in known data leaks or are too close to your email.
  4. Click Change password.

The code step has its own page, so reloading it keeps you there, and the browser's Back button returns to the step where you entered your email. If the code has expired, click Send a new code. If the page itself has expired, or you open it in another browser, Bluedeer says so and offers Send a new code.

Then sign in with your new password.

If you see "Too many attempts", wait a few minutes and request a new code.

If you can still sign in and want to change your password, see How do I change my name or password?
