Use Google Sheets, Google Docs and Google Drive

Lists what the assistant can do with Google Sheets, Google Docs and Google Drive, and which actions ask you first.

Google Sheets, Google Docs and Google Drive are available on every plan, including Free. Connect each one from a card in chat the first time the assistant needs it.

Google Sheets

The assistant can:

  • List your spreadsheets, get spreadsheet details, and search a sheet.
  • Read a range, find the used range, and read a sheet by its name.
  • Create a spreadsheet, add or rename a worksheet, duplicate a worksheet, and update cells.
  • Append rows, sort a range, and export a sheet to CSV or to an Excel file.
  • Import a file from your files into a sheet.

Deleting a worksheet, clearing a worksheet, moving a worksheet to another spreadsheet, and find and replace ask you first. To change which actions ask first, read How do I approve, allow or stop an action from a connector?.

Google Docs

The assistant can:

  • Create a document, and read its content.
  • Insert text at a position in a document, or at the end.

Find and replace across a whole document asks you first. Inserting text runs right away.

Google Drive

The assistant can:

  • List and search your files, and get details about a file.
  • Download a file, upload a file, and create a folder.
  • Move a file to the trash.
  • Share a file with one email address, as a reader, commenter or writer.

Moving a file to the trash runs right away. Check the file before you ask for it to be moved to the trash. Sharing a file asks you first: Bluedeer shows an approval card in chat, and nothing is shared until you approve it. Check who the file will be shared with before you approve. To stop it asking, change Share a Google Drive file under Settings, then AI & Chat, in Teammates and sharing.
