A live dashboard is a page that keeps itself up to date with data from your connectors, such as open tickets or today's numbers. Bluedeer writes the page once. After that, the data refreshes on its own and no AI runs, so refreshing doesn't use your usage allowance. These steps are for the web app.
Live dashboards read from connectors, so you need at least one connector connected to your own account. Connectors need the Pro plan or above.
Make a dashboard
- In a chat, ask Bluedeer for a dashboard, for example "make me a live dashboard of my open Jira issues that refreshes every 5 minutes".
- Bluedeer looks at your data first, then writes the page and saves it in your File manager.
- A card appears in the chat. It lists what the dashboard will read, how often, and any actions it can take, such as moving an issue to another status. Everything runs with your own connector accounts.
- Click Turn on. Nothing runs before you do. Click Not now to keep only the page, without live data.
Open a dashboard
Click Open dashboard on the card, or open the page from your File manager. The bar above the page shows whether it is Live, Updating… or Paused, and when it was last updated.
- A dashboard refreshes only while someone has it open. When you open it after a while, it first shows the last saved data with Updating…, then refreshes straight away.
- It refreshes at most once a minute, or less often if you asked for that.
- Refresh now refreshes everything at once. Pause stops refreshing until you click Resume.
Actions
Some dashboards have buttons that change something, such as moving a ticket. An action runs only when you click its button in the dashboard, and only with the inputs it was made with.
Actions run without asking first, even for a connector you set to Ask first in Customization → Connectors. You approved them when you turned the dashboard on. The bar shows Actions run without asking on dashboards that have actions.
When something goes wrong
If a service can't be reached or asks Bluedeer to slow down, the dashboard says so above the page and tries again a little later, waiting longer each time. If a connector needs you to sign in again, the dashboard says it needs reconnecting. Connect your account again in Customization → Connectors, then click Refresh now, or wait and it continues on its own within 15 minutes.
Share a dashboard
Share it like any other file: open it and click Share. People you share it with see it update, but their view is read-only. They can't change it or use its actions. The data they see is read with your connector accounts, so only share it with people who may see that data. To stop sharing, remove their access or turn off the link in the same window.
If a chat is blocked
If Bluedeer's safety checks block the chat a dashboard was made in, the dashboard is blocked too. It's kept, and opening it says it's blocked, but it doesn't refresh or run anything.
History
Every refresh is saved with its time. The newest data is kept so the dashboard opens at once, and older data is kept for 30 days, so a dashboard can draw trends. There are gaps in the history for times when nobody had it open.
What you can't do yet
- Dashboards read only from connectors you added in Customization → Connectors. Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Calendar and web search can't feed a dashboard yet.
- Dashboards open on the web app only, not in the Bluedeer phone app.
