Where do task results and notices appear?

A task result is posted in the chat where the task was created, and the Inbox groups results, items that need you, and team notices.

Where results arrive

When a task run finishes and the task is set to notify you, the result is posted as a message in the chat where you created the task, as long as that chat still exists. The notice also appears in the Inbox.

Two settings on the task control this. See How do I run, pause, edit or cancel a task?

  • Completion notifications choose when a successful run notifies you. Always notifies you every time. On change notifies you on the first successful run, and afterwards only when Bluedeer decides the result has changed. Never turns these notices off.
  • Notify on failure sends a notice when a run fails or reaches its limit.

The Inbox

Click Inbox in the sidebar. The page has three groups:

  • Needs you: items that need your attention. These include a task that failed (labelled Task failed) or reached its limit (labelled Task limit reached), and invitations to join a team.
  • Task results: finished runs, labelled Task result.
  • Notices: team notices from teammates.

A run that has started shows the note "Started. The result will arrive here."

When nothing is waiting, the Inbox says "You're all caught up." The sidebar shows how many items are unread next to Inbox.

On the phone, the same items are in Notifications.
