A scheduled task is work that Bluedeer runs for you later, or again and again, without you starting it.
Create a task by asking
Scheduled tasks are created by asking Bluedeer in a chat. Describe what you want done and when, for example:
- "Every weekday at 8 am, check my calendar and list today's meetings."
- "On Friday at 5 pm, remind me to send the monthly report."
Bluedeer asks what it should do and when. The schedule can be a single time, or a pattern that repeats. Bluedeer then creates the task and shows it in the chat.
Plans
Scheduled tasks need the Pro plan or above. On the Free and Economy plans, Bluedeer cannot create them.
Actions that ask first
Nobody is there to approve anything while a task runs, so an action that would normally ask for your approval does not run on its own inside a task.
Before the task is scheduled, Bluedeer shows a card called This task needs permission. It lists the actions the task needs that would ask first, such as sending an email. Click Allow all to let the task do them on its own. Anything you do not allow is skipped when the task runs.
- Most actions are allowed for that one task only. You are still asked in chats unless you tick Also stop asking in chats.
- A tool of your own connector that is set to Ask first is different: allowing it changes the connector's setting, so the tool also runs without asking in your chats.
Describe the task's limits in its instructions too. See What are action confirmations and approval cards?
Find your tasks
Click Tasks in the sidebar. Each task shows its name, its status and its next run. The statuses are Active, Paused, Completed, Failed and Cancelled. If you have no tasks yet, the page says "No tasks yet."
