You do not need to set up a built-in service in advance. Ask for something that needs it, and the assistant shows a connection card in the chat if the service is not connected yet.
Connect from the card
- Ask for the task, for example "Summarize my meetings for tomorrow."
- The card appears with a title such as Connect Google Calendar. It says the service needs your permission before Bluedeer can continue. A card that asks for more access than you have shows Additional permissions needed instead.
- Select the sign-in button. For Google services it reads Continue with Google. For Slack it reads Sign in with Slack.
- Finish the sign-in in the provider's tab, then return to Bluedeer. The card shows that the service is connected.
- On the web, if the card shows Continue conversation, select it so the assistant finishes the request. Otherwise, send a new message.
Your connection belongs to you in this workspace. Other members connect their own.
Connectors you name in a chat
When you name a service, for example "Check Sentry", the assistant looks it up and shows a card for it with the right button:
- Connect when Bluedeer has a connector for it and you have not connected your own account yet. You sign in on the service's page; nothing is shared with anyone else in the workspace.
- Reconnect when your sign-in expired or you disconnected it.
- Upgrade to use connectors when your personal plan does not include connectors.
- Not available yet when Bluedeer has no connector for it. You can still add one by its address in Customization.
After you connect, ask the assistant to continue in the same chat. It can use the connector's tools from your next message.
If you do not want to connect
On the phone, select Not now. Nothing is connected, and the card says the service was skipped. You can connect it later by asking again.
If the connection fails
- If the card says Couldn't connect followed by the service name, select the button on the card to try again.
- If the card says the connection expired or access was removed, select the button on the card to reconnect.
- If the card says the service is unavailable here, an owner or admin of the team needs to turn it on first. See Who can add connectors and which plan you need.
For Google and Slack, the button on the card shows the sign-in name, such as Continue with Google, rather than Try again or Reconnect.
