Some actions change things outside Bluedeer or cannot be undone, such as sending an email or deleting a file. Before these run, Bluedeer can pause and show an approval card in the chat. Access checks and the permissions of the other service always still apply.
Approval cards
The buttons on the card depend on the action:
- For an email, Send email, Save draft or Schedule email approves it, and Cancel email stops it. Don't ask again asks you to press it a second time, because later emails will then send without review.
- For a notice, or a file or chat shared with a teammate, the approve button says what it does, such as Send notice, Share file or Share chat. These cards also offer Don't ask again.
- For other actions, Confirm & Execute allows it, and Cancel stops it.
- For a tool from one of your connectors, Always allow runs this tool now and stops asking for it in this workspace. Trust followed by the connector's name runs this tool now and lets every tool that connector has today run without asking. Tools the connector adds later still ask.
Choosing Don't ask again, Always allow or Trust also approves the action now.
Once you decide, the card shows your choice, for example Action Approved or Action Declined, or for an email Email sent or Email cancelled. If you do not answer in time, the approval expires and the card says so. The card keeps your choice if you open the chat again later.
Choose when Bluedeer asks
- Open Settings and choose the AI & Chat tab.
- Find Action confirmations.
- Under All unsafe actions, choose Always ask or Don't ask. Changing it clears the rules chosen below.
Tools that have their own rule are listed below it. For each one, choose Use default, Always ask or Don't ask. Actions that involve teammates and sharing are listed under Teammates and sharing, and each has its own Always ask or Don't ask choice.
With Don't ask, Bluedeer runs the action without showing a card.
Scheduled tasks
Nobody can approve an action while a scheduled task runs. So when you schedule, edit or resume a task that uses actions set to ask first, Bluedeer shows a card called This task needs permission. It lists the actions the task cannot yet do on its own.
- Click Allow all to let the task do them. When the card offers Also stop asking in chats, tick it to stop being asked in chats too. Otherwise you are still asked in chats.
- If none of the actions can be allowed there, the button says Schedule anyway, Save anyway or Resume anyway instead.
- Click Cancel to change nothing.
Steps the task is not allowed to do are skipped, and the task's results report them.
