A team's seats are sold in seat packs. Each pack has a plan tier (Pro, Premium or Max), a number of seats (at least two) and a billing period, either monthly or yearly. A team holds one pack for each tier. Only the owner can add, resize or cancel packs, and only the owner can assign, move or remove people on seats.
Add seats on the web
- Open the team's Workspace page and select Seats. Select Add seats at the top of the Seats panel. You can also select Manage seats under Plan & billing in the page's Settings.
- In the Add seats dialog, choose a tier, the number of Seats, and Monthly or Yearly.
- Check the Total, then select Continue to payment. The checkout opens in Stripe.
A team has one pack for each tier, so a tier that already has a pack is not offered again. To add seats to a tier the team already has, change that pack's size instead. On the pack's card, select Change size, choose the new number of seats or the billing period, then select Change pack. A smaller pack, or a change from yearly to monthly, takes effect at the next renewal, and the dialog says so.
If a smaller pack would take seats that people hold, Bluedeer first lists who would lose access. You must tick a box to confirm before the change is made.
Packs bought in the iOS or Android app are changed in that store. The pack's card explains how.
Assign a seat
- Open the Seats page. Each free seat shows Move someone here.
- Select Move someone here, then choose a member. Everyone active in the workspace is listed, with the seat they hold now, if any.
- Select Move here. The seat that person held before becomes free.
To give a free seat to someone who is not in the workspace yet, invite them to it from Invites. See Invite people to a team.
Remove someone from the Members page
The Members page lists everyone in the workspace. Select the remove button beside a member, then select Remove to confirm. The same things happen as when you remove someone from a seat, and their seat becomes free. Owners and admins can remove members. Only the owner can remove an admin, and nobody can remove the owner.
Move someone to another seat
On a seat that has a holder, select Move. Choose a free seat, which can be of another tier, then select Move. The person keeps access to the workspace. Their old seat becomes free. The seat's usage for the current billing period stays with the seat, not with the person. If there is no free seat, add seats first.
Remove someone from a seat
On a seat that has a holder, select Remove. Tick the box that says the person loses access, then select Remove from workspace.
- The person is removed from the workspace.
- Their scheduled tasks there are paused, and their pending actions there are cancelled.
- Accounts they connected in this workspace are disconnected.
- Their private chats and files stay private to them. What they shared with the team stays.
- The seat stays paid and becomes free. It can be assigned again.
The owner's seat cannot be removed.
