Being in a team means holding a seat in it. This applies to everyone, the owner included. You get your seat when you accept an invitation, because each invitation reserves one.
If your seat is taken away
If the owner takes your seat away, or the seat pack it belongs to ends, you are removed from the team.
- You can no longer open the team's chats, files, tasks or projects.
- Your scheduled tasks in the team are paused, and your pending actions there are cancelled.
- The chats and files you shared with the team stay there for its other members. Your private items stay private to you.
You can still use your Personal workspace. Every account has one, and it does not depend on the team. To come back, ask an admin or the owner to invite you again.
When the owner moves you to another seat, you keep your access. Only the seat's limits change.
If the payment for your seat fails
You stay in the team and keep access, but on the Free plan's limits until the seat is paid. A notice in the team tells you this.
If you are the owner and hold no seat
The owner's seat cannot be taken away, but the owner can lose it, for example when its seat pack ends. Without a seat, you cannot open the team's chats, files or tasks. You can still manage seats, billing, members and settings. Take a free seat on the Seats page, or add seats.
For what each role can do once you have a seat, see Roles in a team.
